About Athavan M

Hello! My name is Athavan, and I'm currently a second-year medical student at the University of Toronto.

What you should know about me is that I am absolutely passionate about teaching. In fact, before even starting medical school, I dedicated my entire gap year to it. I worked full-time helping hundreds of students prepare for the MCAT and undergrad courses, guiding them through the content and strategies needed to excel on one of the most challenging entrance exams out there, and the prerequisites needed to get there!

That experience, combined with my undergrad at uOttawa in Translational and Molecular Medicine, solidified my core belief: the key to success isn't just studying hard—it's about studying smart and having a bulletproof grasp of the foundations. That’s the core of how I approach tutoring. Over the past nine years, I've seen that anyone can achieve their goals. It's just about getting from your personal Point A to your Point B. In our sessions, we’ll go beyond the textbook to focus on:
How to build study habits that actually work for you.
How to stop memorizing and start understanding.
How to absolutely ace your midterms/finals.
