OPPORTUNITY: Wizeprep Online Med Admissions Counselor (Remote Position)

THE ROLE

We're building our network of expert counselors. Professionals who bring both deep knowledge of the medical school landscape and a genuine investment in each student's success.
As a Wizeprep counselor, your focus is guiding students through the full arc of their application, from crafting a strategic timeline, identifying target programs and shaping their narrative, to refining personal statements, preparing for interviews, and building a strategy that gives them the strongest possible chance to secure admission to a multitude of medical schools.
This is an opportunity to work with a leading ed-tech platform that handles the marketing, student acquisition, and technology, so you can focus entirely on what you do best: counseling.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- The Expert: You have a proven track record guiding pre-med students through every stage of the medical school application process. You understand what admissions committees are looking for, and you know how to help students present themselves authentically and competitively. Specific experience working with applicants to U.S. allopathic (MD) and/or osteopathic (DO) programs is strongly preferred; familiarity with Canadian admissions processes, including OMSAS is a meaningful asset.
- The Educator: Every applicant comes in with a different story, different strengths, and a different set of challenges. Your job is to meet them where they are, providing clear strategic guidance backed by reasoning, tailored to each student, over zoom and email correspondence.
- The Communicator: You are engaging, clear, and professional in an online environment using Zoom and comparable platforms to deliver guidance to students.
- The Self-Starter: You are comfortable managing your own schedule and service delivery, including providing reliable and timely feedback to students.
COMPENSATION AND COMMITMENT
Compensation: Competitive hourly of $50/hr.
Note: Wizeprep Counselors are engaged as independent contractors (1099/T4A).
Commitment: We are currently looking for partners with availability for 10+ hours/week.
