OPPORTUNITY: Wizeprep Online Med Admissions Editor (Remote Position)

THE ROLE
Wizeprep is a trusted name in pre-med admissions support, helping students navigate one of the most competitive application processes in higher education. We're building our network of expert editing professionals who bring both deep knowledge of the medical school landscape and a genuine commitment to supporting students craft their compelling narrative.
As a Wizeprep editor, your focus is entirely on the work that matters: guiding students through their personal statements, secondary essays, and supporting materials with the skill and care that can make the difference between a waitlist and an acceptance.
This is an opportunity to work with a leading ed-tech platform that handles the marketing, student acquisition, and technology, so you can focus entirely on what you do best: editing.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- The Expert: You have demonstrated experience in effectively guiding students to produce their best possible personal statements and associated documents. A background in writing and editing is essential, preferably as demonstrated through relevant degrees and/or professional practice. Specific experience working with applicants to U.S. medical schools is strongly preferred.
- The Educator: You don't just know the best practices; you know how to explain why they are best for the student and how they should be tailored to the individual applicant, both in live sessions, email correspondence and asynchronous edits.
- The Communicator: You are engaging, clear, and professional in an online environment using Zoom and comparable platforms to deliver guidance to students.
- The Self-Starter: You are comfortable managing your own schedule and service delivery, including providing reliable and timely feedback to students.
COMPENSATION AND COMMITMENT
Compensation: Competitive hourly of $40/hr.
Note: Wizeprep Editors are engaged as independent contractors (1099/T4A).
Commitment: We are currently looking for partners with availability for 5-10+ hours/week.
