Computing Limits by Factoring

One common way of dealing with the 00\frac{0}{0} indeterminate form is to factor the numerator or the denominator (or both) and cancel things out.

Following identities can be useful in extracting a problematic factor:
a2−b2=(a−b)(a+b)a3−b3=(a−b)(a2+ab+b2)a3+b3=(a+b)(a2−ab+b2)\begin{array}{ll}a^2-b^2=(a-b)(a+b)\\a^3-b^3=(a-b)(a^2+ab+b^2)\\a^3+b^3=(a+b)(a^2-ab+b^2)\end{array}

Example: Computing Limits by Factoring

Find the following limit
