Applied Psychology

Applied psychology involves taking the principles of psychology and investigating how they work in an applied setting, such as a school or workplace, to improve or solve a practical problem.
One of the earliest fields of applied psychology was mental testing - determining how we could measure intelligence in a way that would predict children's performance in school.
Applied psychologists work in a broad variety of areas, including eyewitness testimony, employee selection, and industrial psychology.
