Binge eating disorder - characterized by recurring and uncontrollable episodes of consuming a large number of calories in a short period of time. Binge eating disorder is the most common eating disorder.
Bulimia nervosa - characterized by binge eating followed by compensatory behaviours, which can include fasting, exercising to excess, use of diuretics or laxatives, or inducing vomiting. Bulimia nervosa is the second most common eating disorder.
Anorexia nervosa - characterized by an extreme fear of being overweight, along with a severe restriction of food intake. Tend to have a distorted view of their own body size/shape. Anorexia can be fatal. Anorexia is the third most common eating disorder.
