The addition of HBr to styrene (PhCHCH2, below) yields two products, A and B. One product is greatly favoured. Show the formation of A and B using a reaction energy diagram. Use a single reaction energy diagram for both reactions, be sure to label any starting materials, intermediates and products. Rationalize the product distribution with the diagram (i.e. why is one product favoured over the other?).
