Nature vs. Nurture

What causes our behaviour? Is our genetic makeup or the environment we grow up in?
This question is the nature vs. nurture debate, and is central to psychology.
In reality, our behaviours, personality, intelligence, relationships, etc. are all shaped by nature and nurture, and nature and nurture interact with each other.
Example: a toddler with an easy-going temperament is likely to receive more positive attention from parents than a toddler with a difficult temperament. Temperament influences parenting style, and parenting style influences temperament - and both have genetic and environmental influences.
