Classroom Learning

High efficiency study techniques make the most of your studying time. Here are a few:

Distributed Practice - spacing out studying over multiple sessions rather than fewer, longer sessions (called massed practice).

Interleaved Practice - mixing up different kinds of materials within a study session

Example - switching between multiple choice and short answer questions, or between chapters while studying

Practice Testing - most effective when the practice test questions are difficult and require effort to answer. Improves performance on a later test, and enhances our ability to transfer learning from one type of situation to another.
