You have isolated a novel miRNA (miR-007) that affects the development of ears in rabbits.
Loss if MiR-007 leads to a mutant phenotype in which the positioning of the ears is dorsal (wild-type have frontal positioning), and the ears were significantly smaller than the regular size. With further investigations you find that transcription factor (P007) is increased in the mutant type, while the levels of mRNA are the same compared to the wild-type. The levels of proteins have changed.
