McGill Best Eats

1. Dispatch Cafe

Looking for a tasty coffee and a quick bite? Dispatch Cafe is the spot for you. Despite there being no formal seating, Dispatch has a variety of tasty sandwiches, cakes, and pastries. You can’t go wrong with any of their beverages, but our fav is the macchiato.

2. Lola Rosa

Lola Rosa is the champion of vegetarian comfort food. They provide superb soups, salads, burgers and a host of specialty options (nachos, curry, lasagna...you get the picture). You simply cannot go wrong with the menu - all you have to do is show up and enjoy.

3. Boustan

Boustan is a Montréal classic. Their Lebanese food (and late night deliveries) are famous among young people. Their food is quick-serve so don’t expect a fine dining experience, but your taste buds will not be dissapointed. Our fav is the Chicken Shawarma and garlic potatoes!

4. Pikolo Espresso Bar

A short walk from campus, and well worth it for the delectable pastries, scones, muffins and more. Their espresso-based drinks are rated among the best in town - a must try for all coffee drinkers. This casual spot with great vibes will certainly have you coming back for more mouth-watering baked goods and hot beverages.

5. Vua

Asian-fusion food made for university students. Our go-to is the Banh Mi sub (only ~$4.30 for a 10”!), but they have a variety of other options, including: noodles to-go, bubble tea, sushi and more. For most people who try it, Vua becomes a staple food option in their rotation because of its affordability and knack for hitting the spot.

6. Eden Market

Eden is a grocery store made for students. They offer healthy but tasty hand-made sandwiches, delicious pastries, fruit, and various other snack/lunch items. What’s better - they are located only a few steps away from ‘new Rez’. It is well worth your time, and money, to give Eden a try.
